Abstract:
Abstract A large number of mid-sized companies in Germany are family businesses. VAUDE, founded by Albrecht von Dewitz in 1974 and since 2009 led by his daughter Antje von Dewitz, belongs to this kind of company, whose ways of thinking and acting tend to be generally sustainable. For VAUDE sustainability is part of its corporate philosophy. This article describes how sustainability is being implemented on a daily basis in all aspects of its economic activity (products, value chain, employees).
