Abstract: Abstract This chapter focuses on the ‘facets of CSR in Ireland’. The main objective of the chapter is to review Ireland’s own unique perspective on CSR. This chapter aims to provide an overview as to where the Irish corporate community and government are today in relation to their commitment, adoption and enforcement of socially responsible practices. It will attempt to align a number of dimensions of CSR. It will examine various initiatives that promote CSR in Ireland and some of the influences such as trade unions. It will explore how large businesses and small-to-medium enterprises (SME) in Ireland engage with CSR It also looks at some industry segments in an Irish context to understand their approach and perspective on the broad topic of CSR. Finally, it will investigate the future prospective for CSR in Ireland, addressing some challenges.
