Chapter Chapter 5 in Higher Education in a Sustainable Society, 2015, pp 67-77 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract This chapter, Sustainability in nursing education, Åshild Slettebø argues how sustainability can be integrated into nursing training and education. A key here is for the students to be able to develop a comprehensive perspective on nursing. The chapter uses different definitions of sustainability, linked to an account of responsibilities of nurses. It has a useful discussion of practical examples on how nursing education can have a wider impact in universities, in terms of sustainability.
