Abstract First the Megatrend of Digitization is connected with the target function of sustainability. Looking at the role of businesses to find sustainability in a digital world, the outstanding method of operation of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises is introduced. Second, views into a sustainable future in the fields of Employment and Workplace, Environment and Energy, Government and Security as well as New Business Models, envision options for Small- and Medium-Sized Enterprises in the manifold dimensions of sustainability. Third reflections on embedded sustainability, resilience and cooperative innovation bridge some parts of the current science to practice gap.
