Chapter Chapter 14 in Innovation Networks in the German Laser Industry, 2015, pp 323-328 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract The paradox underlying each scientific research project is that once it comes to an end we face more questions than at the beginning of the process. Of course, not all of the interesting new questions can be addressed here in detail. Nonetheless, we believe that a comprehensive understanding of network dynamics is essential for nearly all other fields of cooperation and network research. The complexity of network change processes calls for the application of unconventional methods. In my point of view this opens up a most promising field of research and constitutes, at the same time, the core of the outlook that follows in Sect. 14.1. Finally, we conclude with some final remarks in Sect.14.2.
