Chapter Chapter 5 in Economy and Disability, 2019, pp 39-48 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract In December, 2017, the author visited the northern part of Fukui Prefecture, which is the dominant region for the domestic production of glasses frames. More than 95% of glasses frames are produced here. The purpose of the visit was to interview the President of Masunaga Optical Mfg. Co., Ltd., which has been in operation for more than 100 years.
