Chapter Chapter 2 in The Inequality Adjusted Gains from Trade, 2022, pp 5-11 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract In this chapter, we develop a detailed model that defines how trade protection affects the real income of the household. We first discuss the determinants of household welfare before turning to the impacts of tariff cuts. In the presentation of the model, we explore different modeling assumptions, how they relate to the available data, and we discuss how those assumptions affect the calculations of the welfare effects of trade policy.
