Abstract:
Abstract Starting with an outline of the life and career of John Maynard Keynes, the paper focuses on his “Monetary Theory of Production” as a challenge to “the Classical School”. As the title of the paper reveals, it analyses whether Keynes understood the conditions of the existing monetary economy.
