Chapter Chapter 3 in The Liberation of the Serfs, 2012, pp 7-14 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract The chapter describes the failing and money wasting Brandenburg colonialism as part of the European colonialism at the beginning of modern era. Brandenburg’s colonialism took place from 1680 to 1721. It is an element of the policy of Elector Frederick William (“The Great Elector”) and his successors, who needed a lot of money to carry through the policy of rebuilding the country after Thirty Year’s War, to realise continuous economic growth and to ensure territorial expanding of the state Brandenburg.
