Chapter Chapter 3 in Friedrich List (1789-1846), 2015, pp 101-133 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract List was in good company during his imprisonment at Hohenasperg. Twenty members of student fraternities from Tübingen, all of whom were victims of the Carlsbad decrees, were also serving time. Among them was Gustav Kolb, one of List’s students at the University of Tübingen, to whom List’s farewell letter was addressed. List was in solitary confinement and had no contact with the other, mostly younger inmates, who were also in solitary confinement (Fig. 3.1).
