Abstract:
Abstract Smart banking services are evolving to enhance the customers’ quality of financial services by utilizing advanced ICT technology. Various digital banking adoption empirical studies have been done in response to the fourth industrial revolution and the shifting notion of smart cities. Several experiments on the entire flow of digital banking adoption study and main difficulties, however, are limited. As a result, this study examined important existing empirical investigations, and the trends and features of digital banking (m-banking, e-banking, and online/internet banking) adoption research, and offers research paths based on digital banking literature assessments done from 2009 to 2022. This research performed a thorough review of previous empirical studies on digital banking adoption. The analytical part covered the research field, year, region, technology adoption theory applied, and the significant factors. Based on the analysis, the study revealed that perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, perceived risk, perceived security, perceived credibility, perceived trust, self-efficacy, and perceived compatibility are the major factors. The study’s research findings are likely to serve as beneficial directions for future smarter banking development initiatives and future related research.
