Abstract: Abstract As a developing country Turkey faces a shadow economy problem. After providing short literature review in our research, we will explain causes and consequences of shadow economic activities in Turkey. The main dynamics of economic development is depending upon economic growth. Thus, the paper will summarize recent paths of GDP growth and the volume of shadow economy.
