Abstract:
Abstract In the coming years, the generation of senior citizens will be able to benefit from the possibilities offered by digitalisation and artificial intelligence to a considerable extent. A decisive factor for the success of the use of new technologies in old age is the attainment of digital independence. Key areas of application for digital innovations include improving care and mobility for the elderly, personalised medicine and social exchange. New challenges in the context of demographic change and the remoteness of rural and economically weak regions can thus be mitigated.
