Abstract: Abstract Brand building and internationalization play a central role in corporate positioning in e-commerce today and can be supported by supply chain management. A number of companies have emerged in this environment in recent years. The content of this article is threefold: (a) The typical processes of an e-commerce supply chain are laid out, (b) a framework is introduced to describe the impact of these processes on customer value and (c) the framework is applied to classify the existing types of companies as well as the new entrants.
