Abstract: Abstract Cybersecurity law is not simply the application of legal systems to the protection of private data; it also includes using our legal systems to address criminal activity that is conducted using networked technologies—otherwise known as cybercrime. This chapter will outline the types of cybersecurity laws needed to address issues such as interpersonal privacy, criminal copyright infringement, data breaches, network attacks, and other computer-related activities of a criminally malicious nature.
