Ethical Challenges in Applying New Technologies in Orthopedic Surgery
Masoud Ghalambor ()
A chapter in The Future Circle of Healthcare, 2022, pp 107-118 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract Technological advances have revolutionized virtually every aspect of healthcare, from research to patient access and from diagnosis and treatment to delivery. However, the use of technology in medicine has also brought about new challenges. Although this chapter focuses on ethical challenges associated with technological advances in orthopedic surgery, the concepts presented are not unique to this field. By shedding light on these challenges, I hope to encourage advances in medicine while encouraging fellow practitioners to keep sight of our primary mission of patient care.
