Abstract: Abstract To implement ISO 56007, organizations can use the content of this chapter to gain a deeper understanding of innovation and how it can be applied in various contexts. This chapter showcases various examples of business initiatives across different industries, highlighting the potential of non-tech innovations. Innovation can take various forms, such as new packaging, new services, new marketing schemes, or new management approaches. By studying the different forms of innovation and learning from successful business initiatives, organizations can align their practices with the principles outlined in ISO 56007 and enhance their innovation capabilities. This chapter also mentions the role of technology in enabling innovation. It explains the difference between invention and innovation. It emphasizes the importance of democratizing innovation. It also explores the concept of non-tech innovation as the “low-hanging fruit” that organizations often overlook, leading to missed opportunities.
