Abstract Hospital management faces a multitude of challenges that must be addressed both nationally and at the European level. The coming decade will be marked by profound changes in demographics, technology, finance, and regulation. To successfully navigate these changes, strategic planning is essential. This chapter highlights the key strategic challenges that hospital management in Germany and Europe must address and provides insights into possible solutions.
