Abstract:
Abstract The workplace is undergoing a significant transformation, increasingly evolving into an effective and productive meeting space. The hybrid workplace model, blending digital and analogue interactions, is closely linked to meeting culture, which plays a crucial role in the success of this new work environment. As work becomes more flexible, understanding how to manage meetings—whether digital, analogue, or hybrid—becomes essential. The workplace functions as a marketplace for collaboration, where knowledge exchange and interaction drive value creation. The rise of digital tools has liberated work from physical constraints, but this shift demands new skills and approaches to meeting management. Effective meeting culture is now more important than ever, as meetings and interactions are central to the development of knowledge and innovation in organisations. As meetings consume a significant portion of work time, their quality and efficiency directly impact productivity. The trend towards shorter, more focused meetings reflects the need for better planning and control, especially in hybrid settings. The future of work will increasingly hold meetings accountable for their value, both to individuals and to organisations, driven by data and artificial intelligence. The traditional meeting overload must be addressed, as it no longer contributes to the competitive advantage of organisations in the hybrid workplace.
