A chapter in Resilient Business Models, 2025, pp 285-292 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract This case study examines the business model and organisational resilience of International Costruzioni—Casium, a company specialising in real estate development, renovations, and property marketing in Italy. Founded in the early 2000s, the company’s trajectory, led by Domenico De Sena, showcases an evolution from traditional construction to a diversified real estate entity. The narrative highlights its adaptive strategies in response to significant market shifts and challenges, emphasising the development of a resilient business model. The company’s strategic pivot is towards human-centric digital communication and specialised branding. Faced with unprecedented disruptions, International Costruzioni—Casium innovated by focusing on creating valuable content and tailoring communication for distinct social media platforms and target audiences. A key aspect of its resilience is the decision to establish specific brands and specialised representatives for various real estate topics (e.g., sales, renovations, and mortgages), enhancing perceived value and authority. This approach demonstrates a proactive ability to react and adapt to changes, fostering strong customer relationships and ensuring continuity and growth amidst adversity. The case illustrates how strategic segmentation, digital engagement, and a commitment to specialised expertise contribute to building a robust and adaptable business in the dynamic real estate sector.
