The Vision

Chapter 2 in The Self-Driving Company, 2023, pp 3-43 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract The idea that companies will develop into self-driving organizations has not yet become a topic of public discourse. There is extensive discussion of the ubiquitous digitization taking place, but there is currently no vision of a destination that goes beyond short-term developments. From individual developments, such as artificial intelligence and self-driving cars, a rather blurry picture may be emerging of what these developments could mean for our companies. One thing is certain: the successful ones will be quicker to seize these opportunities; they already have an idea of the enormous potential that will result from these technological advances. In order to open up these opportunities to everyone else, it is the goal of this book to create a clear, attractive, and fascinating picture of the future that will result from this technological progress.
