A chapter in Handbook on Ontologies, 2009, pp 315-336 from Springer

Abstract: Summary In this chapter we discuss trends of ontology engineering environments and their characteristics through comparison between some tools. After a summarization of the recent trends of them, the authors enumerate factors which characterize those environments. Then we take up OntoEdit, Hozo, WebODE, SWOOP and Protégé, and compare them according to the factors.
