Abstract: Abstract Grand visions often falter due to project complexity and cognitive overload. Human short-term memory limits make micro-details obscure strategic intent. Modular thinking addresses this: projects are broken into high-cohesion, low-coupling submodules, keeping each within cognitive limits, and distinguishing between self-development and mature supply chains. By evaluating risks and leveraging reliable “building blocks,” teams focus on critical inventions, reducing project risk and shortening R&D cycles, turning grand visions into high-probability outcomes.
