Abstract: Abstract A university can play an essential role in regional economic development, especially with respect to innovation and entrepreneurial. The University of Central Florida became a driver and partner to help diversify the economy from a region that was heavily dependent on tourism, hospitality and agriculture, sectors known for lower than average wages.
