Chapter Chapter 2 in Regional Trajectories of Entrepreneurship, Knowledge, and Growth, 2019, pp 5-13 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract This chapter discusses the empirical evidence of persistent levels of regional self-employment and new business formation. It is argued that a regional culture of entrepreneurship plays an important role in explaining the persistence of entrepreneurship. We discuss possible explanations for the emergence of a culture of entrepreneurship, and how it might become self-perpetuating over time.
