Chapter 2 in Manufacturing Exports from Indian States, 2016, pp 13-24 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract It provides a critical review of sources of official statistics on state level exports along with their limitations. In India, the regional break-up of the origin of commodity exports is available for a few recent years and limited to just select important exporting states. The chapter suggests an alternative method on the basis of linking exports of a firm to its space of production and deals with the strengths and weaknesses of the proposed method.
