Chapter 5 in Manufacturing Exports from Indian States, 2016, pp 71-105 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract It presents an overview of inter-state differences in the export performance of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) with an emphasis on determinants of such activities. SMEs constitute a vibrant and important segment in the manufacturing sector of all the Indian states and the trends in their export performance are of immediate policy attention. Comparing and contrasting SMEs and large firms exporting on a regional basis highlights how export determinants may vary across firm size.
