Chapter 5 in Pulses for Food and Nutritional Security of India, 2022, pp 55-66 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract The present chapter provides an overview of socio-economic profile of the sample households. Considering the heterogeneous nature of the country and the study region, there were considerable differences across the states in terms of the profile of the households. The sections below undertake a discussion of the socio-economic profile of the total sample size as well as a detailed socio-economic profile at the district level. A detailed socio-economic profile at the district level is undertaken to understand the disparities in terms of various social, economic and institutional factors across different states.
