Abstract: Abstract The management model of Annapurna Pariwar is unique since it was organic and evolved over time while catering to the needs of the community it served. A system has been built over the years that encourages staff to function in efficient ways and instill a loyalty toward the ideology on which the organisation was built. The succession plan and cadre of senior management are instrumental in the running of the organisation. The financial sustainability of the organisation and how it was achieved will be detailed out. The use of in-house technology has facilitated the smooth transactions of microfinance and microinsurance within Annapurna Pariwar. There is a two-way communication between the organisation and its members. Principles of democracy are adhered to. These systems will be highlighted in this chapter. The importance of voice, especially of the community, and how it influences and teaches the organisation how to move forward, shapes the model of Annapurna Pariwar. Financial stability and the link to digitisation are critical. Annapurna Pariwar has its own system of digitisation that facilitates the processes of loan disbursements, loan collection, insurance claims, etc. Both hardware and software are synergised to make the tasks of loan officers smooth. The digitisation organisation of Annapurna Pariwar and its role in managing an efficient system will be illustrated. The role of the Board of Annapurna Pariwar is central to the organisation. Regular, documented Board meetings and how they steer the organisation forward will be drawn out in this chapter.
