Chapter Chapter 6 in 75 Years of the Indian National Sample Survey, 2025, pp 149-167 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract Against the backdrop of the survey designs adopted in the NSS, it will be useful to see the survey practices of some other countries. This chapter focuses on the same in respect of two important household surveys namely the household expenditure survey and the labour force survey. However, before the survey practices on these two surveys by the other countries are discussed, Sect. 6.1 of this chapter first summarizes the survey methodology adopted in the NSS in respect of these two surveys so that the readers find it useful to have a comparative picture.
