Abstract:
Abstract Before probing the history of manufacturing control systems, we have to ask a question. What is a manufacturing planning and control system? In theory, there is a simple answer– it is a system of “things” that work together to control what is done where, by who, using what set of resources (machines, tools, and materials), at what time, and in what quantity.
