Chapter Chapter 9 in Health Care Benchmarking and Performance Evaluation, 2014, pp 141-163 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract In health care, the first application of DEA is dated to 1983 with the study of Nunamaker, measuring routine nursing service efficiency. Since then, DEA analysis has been used widely in the assessment of hospital technical efficiency in the United States as well as around the world at different levels of decision making units.
