Chapter Chapter 6 in Economics of Power Systems, 2022, pp 197-254 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract This chapter discusses negative externalities observed in electric power markets. It examines the effects of market-based mechanisms, such as environmental taxation, emission-permit schemes, and renewable portfolio standards. It also presents detailed network-constrained operational models with externalities to accommodate realistic spatial, technological, temporal factors, and market power of producers in power systems.
