Chapter Chapter 5 in Facility Location Under Uncertainty, 2024, pp 95-121 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract This chapter discusses different possibilities for modeling and solving robust discrete facility location problems. Initially, a finite uncertainty set is assumed. Several concepts are discussed, leading to different objective functions. Then, facility location problems considering interval and ellipsoidal uncertainty are analyzed. Adaptive robust optimization in the context of facility location is also considered. The content is extended by considering multi-period facility location problems, laying the ground for more comprehensive models to be covered later in the book.
