A chapter in Outsourcing Using Operations Research and Management Science Methods, 2025, pp 1-30 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract Facility Management (FM) outsourcing is increasingly focusing on sustainability by adopting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals in business decisions. This chapter aims to validate the published Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based FM outsourcing relationship system using real-world business cases related to sustainability. It begins with an introduction to the theory of the FM outsourcing relationship system, highlighting how it can assist FM strategists and leaders in designing their routine practices to enhance business effectiveness and productivity. The chapter also outlines the practical aspects of the research being conducted at the case study stage for testing and verification. In conclusion, categorizing FM outsourcing can assist in clarifying the relationships between providers and clients. Additionally, the outcomes generated from the AI model can analyze the existing outsourcing relationships among service providers and stakeholders.
