Chapter 23 in Multi-Criteria Decision Making with Partial Preference Information, 2026, pp 481-494 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract The web-based platform for operating FITradeoff for negotiation protocol is presented. This platform is freely available for use upon request. The platform was designed to support bilateral negotiations involving multiple issues, and incorporates a preference elicitation module based on the FITradeoff method. This enables negotiators to assess alternative packages when formulating offers or evaluating proposals received from a counterpart. A detailed overview of the structure of the platform and its functionalities is presented. The platform serves a dual purpose in terms of usability: (i) primarily, it supports academic research by enabling the investigation of how the FITradeoff method assists in modeling preferences during negotiation analysis, and (ii) secondarily, it is intended for practical use in real-world negotiation scenarios, as the system is available online upon request for negotiation analysts who are seeking to address actual decision-makingDecision-making problems.
