Abstract: Abstract This chapter describes a sample design of the Lesson Learnt Support System for project managers. The proposed system fulfills four major functions: collection, acceptance, spread and reuse. The main emphasis of the chapter is on the collection function comprising a large set of lessons learnt. These lessons are derived from the personal experience of the author gained via real cases during his extensive working career. The collected lessons are classified thematically to facilitate their codification and knowledge transfer. These lessons serve not only to determine what went right or wrong, or could have been done differently, but also to what extent. The ultimate goal of the organization should be the adoption of those best practices that can be drawn from lessons learnt. Assuming the implementation of the proposed Lessons Learnt Support System, the chapter ends by presenting a brief simulation of the system use.
