Abstract: Abstract This chapter is dedicated to the joint optimization of order acceptance (OA) decisions and capacity planning decisions. In Sect. 8.1, we model the problem as outlined in Sect. 2.3 as a CTMDP for which in Sect. 8.2 methodological issues are addressed for the efficient computation of optimal policies.
