Abstract: Abstract I first want to thank Professor Brown for his kind introduction. My goal is to give everyone a sense of the subject of o-minimality. Ten hours is a lot of time to lecture, but the literature on this topic has grown vast, so I will ignore a lot of things in order to get at issues relevant for this audience. I confess that this is the first time I have spoken to economists.
