Abstract: Abstract This mathematical appendix is not supposed to be a comprehensive treatment, not even on the subjects it contains. It is included for mainly two reasons: First, so the reader can use it to refresh his knowledge without having to consult separate literature. Secondly, as we have brought together concepts from many different sources in this work, this chapter unifies the notation and clears up ambiguities that might arise from those original sources. Our orientation is Alós-Ferrer (2005).
