A chapter in ICT for an Inclusive World, 2020, pp 327-343 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract How can foreign direct investment (FDI) in Sub-Saharan Africa better benefit host economies? Here, we consider the role of human resource management, taking the information and communications technology (ICT) sector as a case study. Our concern is to assess how human resource management can contribute to the success of FDI in the ICT sector in Sub-Saharan Africa in terms of human capital development and economic development. The paper thus provides a human resource management perspective on the FDI-economic growth nexus in that empirical context.
