Abstract: Abstract The paper presents an analysis of how big data technologies can be applied to the business activities of geographically distributed medical organizations. Characteristics of geographically distributed medical organizations are analyzed in the context of information requirements and opportunities of big data matching these requirements. A case study is presented, describing a Russian geographically distributed organization’s functional structure and enterprise architecture model presenting, how IT applications and big data technologies interact when realizing analytics IT services.
