Abstract: Abstract Companies today seek to protect their information systems from security breaches by the implementation of effective security measures. The decision which measures to choose mostly relies on the information at hand. Business processes turn out to be a valuable source of information for the identification of decision criteria. Based on this, we developed a practical and innovative multiple-criteria procedure model. It builds on the Analytic Hierarchy Process and is applied it to a single case study of the Volkswagen Financial Services AG.
