A chapter in Information and Communication Technologies in Organizations and Society, 2016, pp 329-336 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract In this paper, we analyze the diffusion of technologies in the retail sector. Technologies are disrupting the traditional way of selling products and services and the relations between companies and consumers. In our paper we categorize four different fields for technologies impacting retail activities and we analyze some examples for each category that can illustrate these trends.
