A chapter in Organizational Change and Information Systems, 2013, pp 109-117 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract This chapter identifies four significant antecedents of an employee’s willingness to share information on an online Enterprise Social Network in a knowledge intensive organization. Employees with more tenure show a higher willingness to share information. For management it is important to be aware of the importance of recognizing employees’ contributions on the network and to recognize that being present on the network takes time. Finally, the fact that people who feel less involved in the company show a lower willingness to share information reveals a limitation for the success of the project.
