Abstract:
Abstract With the rapid development of social-enabled retailing e-commerce, this new mode has also brought new quality management issues. Because all the suppliers share the salespersons, once one supplier frauds, the other suppliers on the platform will be unwilling to produce. As a result, we design quality incentive mechanism to help the platform to manage the product quality. Interesting, we find that if the loss of externality is relatively small, the platform will punish the supplier more when she chooses not to inspect. In addition, the optimal punishment varies with the production cost and the loss of externality in the opposite direction.
