Abstract: Abstract Reasonable storage location assignment is the basis for improving the efficiency of the warehouse. In order to speed up the picking time of goods and reduce storage costs, this paper focuses on the storage location assignment of goods in the warehouse, considering factors such as correlation of goods, space utilization, and outbound frequency. The ABC (Activity Based Classification) method, the COI (cube-per-order index) method, the random storage strategy and the AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) are combined with the storage location assignment evaluation method, the stacking layout of the goods is obtained, and take the storage location assignment of steel goods in a logistics park as an example for empirical analysis. The results show that the COI index method obtains the optimal storage location assignment plan in a logistics park, which can obtain a better stacking layout, thereby improving the efficiency of yard picking and enhancing the accuracy and punctuality of storage picking operations.
