A chapter in Operations Research Proceedings 2005, 2006, pp 565-570 from Springer

Abstract: Summary Process optimisation on the basis of detailed process characteristics requires the simultaneous consideration of different mass and energy flows and leads to a multi-criteria problem. Different technological options can be compared based on targets calculated by pinch analyses and further criteria. The approach is applied to a case study on bicycle coating.
