A chapter in Sustainable Leadership for Entrepreneurs and Academics, 2019, pp 225-231 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract Our paper focuses on the role and influence of transport on the development of the macro-logistic systems which represent a leading trend in transport and logistics nowadays. We argue that the modern transport contributes to the improvement of freight traffic along the entire chain of distribution from the manufacturer to the final consumer. Moreover, we study and analyze the development of transport and logistics services. These services might become one of the key leading factors contributing to the increased competitiveness of the entire logistics system. Our results might be useful for experts in logistics and transport studies, as well as for the entrepreneurs working in the field of transportation, especially those searching for the new leading technologies and approaches and willing to take the risks.
