Chapter Chapter 62 in Operations Management for Social Good, 2020, pp 635-646 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract Brazil has been a leading supplier of soybeans to China, and in recent years, both production and export Brazilian levels have significantly expanded. On the other hand, society is demanding actions that promote the most integrated, efficient and environmentally friendly transportation involving long-distance routes. The objective of this article was to evaluate the potential of strategies to promote green corridors of soybean exports from Brazil to China. We can conclude that the scenario that consolidates the green corridor of low GHG emissions is one that expands the capacity of the rail terminals of Alto Araguaia and Araguari and increases the capacity of the ports of Santos, Paranaguá and Vitória, besides the use of ships of the type Capesize using the Cape of Good Hope route.
